[Rockhounds] An Unusual Type of "Lava" - What Do You Think?

When you tap a primitive smelting furnace to let out the slag the molten
liquid can flow away and drip as it cools. I found a video of this process

Found a second video, but you need to skip into it at 5:07 to see the
dripping slag.

I suspect to get the piece you have it would have had to flow and cool a
bit more before dripping to make the ropey formation.
