[Rockhounds] : Nebraska teacher finds largest diamond of 2019 in Arkansas’ Crater of Diamonds State Park

I spent a little over half a day in the park with my kids during spring
break many years ago. Came home with a bucket of assorted rocks,
kimberlite, and gravel. And the story about the lady about 20 feet away who
found an 8.6 carat diamond. I stopped at the rock shop down the road from
the park and bought myself a little brown diamond to make up for the one
that got away. Biggest diamond that has come out of the park was about 40
carats, and the ranger told me the park has confirmed more than 75,000
diamonds since it opened.

Same spring break trip also had us digging quartz. And that is another mud
you don't want to go into if it is raining.
