[Rockhounds] Giant snowballs appear on Russian beach in Siberia

The last storm produced those on a ranch in Wyoming last week. I think they were up to about 2 feet in diameter. There were some on a ranch in SE Idaho and some small ones up here in North Idaho. I’ve seen them at times in my yard up to about 3 inches in diameter. It’s more dependent on the texture of the snow than anything. I has to be light enough to move when the wind blows, yet be able to stick together.
