[Rockhounds] LIST RULES

First, I didn't know the listowner cared if off track, political and 
provocative things are posted here.???? That is why the last time a 
political theme came up I reported it to the ISP.?????? That thread did 
come to an abrupt end just after I reported it, so it's always possible 
the list owner was on vacation and hadn't seen it.

However, it seems as if if the listowner did care about inappropriate 
things getting posted here, she would have intervened much earlier in 
the thread she finally stopped.???? How a local government deals with a 
plague outbreak among prairie dogs, stupidly or dangerously or 
otherwise, has nothing to do with geology nor rock hunting. ?? It further 
seems like a political concern must have inspired its coming up here. ?? 
Stopping the thread should hardly have waited for people to shout at 
each other.???? Why did the listowner let it continue?

I can't discern what is wrong with any of the signature files that have 
appeared in this thread, that is, that I can find.?? Most of what I can 
find is a string of childish insults, it took me a long time to learn 
what actually set it off.???? In some cases signature files look like the 
entire post; it's hard to find the text around ten line long signature 
files.

There are several excessively long and excessively pretentious and 
arrogantly worded signature files here, and I find their tone 
exceedingly annoying.?? But such things are almost de rigeur among the 
upper middle class, so it's hard to object to it.?? And it is not 
necessarily political to be arrogant or annoying. ?? I might think it's a 
personality disorder.???? I don't see something politically onesided in 
the signatures, or in the practice of pretentious and haughty sounding 
quotations.???? Don't you know, such a statement begins and ends every 
episode of Criminal Minds!
