Yup, that's right, I think that's the discussion that led into me
wanting to find my old collection from North Miami Beach.  I think the
topic was about (rare) silicified fossils in Florida OTHER THAN the
well-known Tampa Bay area agatized coral.

And by the way, last month while visiting Mom in the Tampa area, renting
a kayak from Sailhoneymoon.com (<= recommendation), out for the day
cruising along the Honeymoon Island beach, I noticed a young lady
scanning the wet zone for collectibles, and carrying what seemed like a
fairly heavy bucket; as in, probably not just shells.  I chatted with
her a little and, sure enough, she was also looking for agatized coral,
in her case to make jewelry.  Cool.

There's still a fair bit of black to gray jasper along the Honeymoon
beaches, mostly not very exciting, and less in recent years since they
added T-groins near the north parking lot for sand preservation.
