The Salton Sea evaporation mine is under construction. One other mine in CA may reopening. Thacker Pass in NV is under construction, It's near where we dig petrified wood and thundereggs near McDermitt NV so I've been following the project. There are others in the planning or permitting stage in the west. I have no idea what the projected lithium production is but the Federal govt. have huge subsidies to hand out.

That's what I thought I saw.  There are atleast two other large deposits of lithium in this country.  Each article treats its topic as the only great hope for America to compete for lithium.

I'd also like to see more on the potential environmental impact, and on who opposes this mining in Arkansas, and apparently also in North Carolina.
