[Rockhounds] Discovery: it wasn't a comet that wiped out the dinosaurs, and it didn't come from Jupiter

By studying ancient rock samples from the Chicxulub crater, researchers determined these rocks contain a rare element called ruthenium, which isn't common on Earth. Scientists were able to determine the origin of the asteroid by analyzing the ruthenium isotopes in the rocks.
