I went on a field study trip to Lake Malawi with Dr. Jay Stauffer at Penn
State. I was blown away by how many species were in the lake. We found
several new ones and took them back to the lab alive to observe their
behavior. Turns out that behavior is an important tool in looking for new
species. There are more than 100 species that have been described.
