The ferns are from the Mazon Creek fossil beds. Home of the famous "Tully
Monster" :)

Subject: [Rockhounds] AD - Bob Robinson collection
While I'm still working on Steve Garza's collection, I continue with the
Robinson collection, too. I picked up a bunch of flats last month. Most of
the inventory was purchased at shows in the 1990s. There is a lot of random
material from all over the country and foreign (like Canada & Peru). I
created labels so my "list" of specimens is organized as 4 pages of labels.
There are flats of specimens not on my label pages, especially from Kings
Mountain, Georgia; Salem Quarry, Washington Co., Indiana; Caldwell Quarry,
Danville, Kentucky, and more. One flat is vanadinite from the Pure Potential
Mine, La Paz, Arizona, while another has fluorescent calcite & celestine
(some combos) from Rockwood, Michigan.
Like fossils? In addition to corals and stromatoporoid sponges from the
Middle Silurian Louisville Limestone, there is a flat of fern nodules from
Illinois in Bob's collection. My own invertebrate fossil inventory is
massive (~12-page list).
I have been "mining" the Garza garage with diverse specimens. No list is
available yet, but I'll be happy to work with you to create a list.
Individual collectors and dealers may schedule a visit with me to go to the
Garza's. Dee doesn't want to have a mineral show for now. I can also
accommodate anyone who wants to visit my home for sales by appointment.
As always, email me directly at deepskyspy @ outlook.com. Please don't hit
reply to the group.

Alan Goldstein
