Yes, I had just read this somewhere too. And there had been a news story about it back at the time of the total eclipse, where I think, several scientists, including I believe, astronauts Harrison Schmitt and Jim Reilly (then Director of USGS), visited the crater site--and watched the eclipse from there, I think.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
