I visited Steve & Dee Garza today for the first time in four months. They are doing okay. As isolated as they are, the pandemic hasn’t affected them too much. They don’t go anywhere in a normal year. Steve was in good spirits and somewhat talkative.

The garage has been emptied by about 70% of it’s original contents when I started some 3 years ago. What’s left is still a mess or in large unopened (very heavy) boxes – IN/KY geodes, Corydon IN and Springfield KY minerals dominate. Still intimidating! I also ventured out in the pole barn where I counted 100 large boxes, each full to the rim with geodes, Meckley Quarry celestine, and Corydon calcite & dolomite. Each box probably weighs 100 to 200 pounds, so I didn’t move any of them! An unknown number of other large boxes are buried under bales of straw. I had to wear my mask to work out there.

I brought back 2 flats of South American minerals in 1.5”x1.5” boxes. Below is their contents – the prices listed are 50% OFF the retail price.
