I think this is their third increase in max. 6 months. Thankfully no one has
complained yet but I know it drives away potential buyers from my website. I
started stating the shipping charges at the top of every single page that
has something for sale on it. Then I take a delivery of their free flat rate
boxes. Apparently the “new, improved” box is made in somebody’s basement,
the flaps don’t meet correctly so there’s an actual hole in the bottom of
the box unless you re-bend the cardboard to fit. More cost for less service
seems to be the hot trend within the USPS now. I’ve had 2 boxes disappear
into thin air and 2 delivered to wrong addresses since December. I’m pretty
sure that one of each had happened since ~1995. And they still don’t have
the guts to raise the price of a first class stamp anywhere near what it
actually costs to deliver an envelope, last I read it was 95 cents.

The March update to www.sauktown.com will be posted today.
First, a little bad news: The Post Office keeps increasing the rates for
domestic packages, so I have to try to keep pace. The "standard" rate will
now be $ 5.00. I'm going to try to keep international rates the same: $
10.00 to Canada, $ 14.75 everywhere else.
This month there's an assortment of items from the Art Smith collection:
Galena, Albite, Analcime, Anatase, Silver, StrengiteSpinel, Spangolite and
Spessartine. There's also a Foggite (just one!)
