Scientists use ancient marine fossils to unravel longstanding
climate puzzle by Cardiff University

Ancient marine fossils reveal how rising sea levels trapped carbon
in the oceans preventing extinction-level global warming 14 million
years ago. Fossil records suggest high levels of carbon was captured
in ocean sediment. Significant volcanic activity had previously led
to extinction level events. Ryan Morrison, Daily Mail, January 9, 2020
