Mostly not relevant but do you know of Uraninite from the Mt. Spokane WA
area? Someone on Facebook is looking for an ID. All I know of is Autunite.

Subject: [Rockhounds] Radioactive Minerals
I neglected to mention the other day......
In my "cellar digging", I uncovered 5 massive radioactive mineral specimens
I want to find a home for. I would be looking for payment for postage for
these, if there is anyone who collects this class of minerals.
I found 3 fist-sized pieces labeled Allanite, and 2 pieces labeled
Uraninite. They are from 2 defunct mines in Ontario, the McDonald and the
Dyno Mines, extracted many years ago.I do not know the emission quantity of
these, (I expect "low") and any visible mineralization is non-determinative.
I can send photos, but they won't tell you much about the mineralogy. If
anyone can use these, let me know...I expect postage would be about $13
(Medium Flat Rate box), and I would appreciate any additional amount you may
want to include for handling.
I can accept PayPal or personal checks.
Please do NOT respond to the list, use my e-mail address. Thank you!
(and, Kreigh, I apologize for listing an "ad" so frequently! I won't abuse
the privilege again.) Larry Rushlarryrush at att.net
