But not weird at all in the northwest. I'd be disappointed if there weren't
clay pigeons all over the quarries we have visited. I need to see if the US
manufactured ones fluoresce now :D

Not THAT weird, but… My son and I were collecting fluorescent minerals at
the Hasselhjöden mine in Sweden. This location has a lot of yellow
fluorescing sphalerite. Unfortunately, it also has thousands upon thousands
of shards of clay pigeons used for skeet shooting that also fluoresced
yellow. We didn’t know they were there until the sun set and we turned on
the UV lights. The only saving grace was that the sphalerite phosphoresced
while the clay pigeons did not.
