One time out rockhounding a remote area, but near a paved road, I found a
bright yellow rock(?) about 3" across and nearly 1" thick, flattish with
rounded edges, some pitting, not very dense at all. It was still rather
tough to cut through or otherwise abrade. I took it into our local club,
where someone told me it was... Dried highway lane marker paint that must
have built up and dropped off a paint truck. Huh!
