MinDat lists it as
Fordite
An artificial substance.
Fordite is a trade name given to hardened enamel paint that has collected
in layers in automobile factories. Over many years layers of paint built
up, this material was removed, found to be an acceptable and unusual
lapidary material, and made into jewellery.
Unfortunately, with the new paint technologies Fordite collecting
localities are no longer available.
