[Rockhounds] 'Wizard Rock' Stolen and Returned, Prescott National Forest, Arizona

An electric winch or a come-along and an engine (or just about any heavy
duty) hoist could get a boulder into the back of a pickup in an hour, if
that. People use that method to load large petrified wood, jasper etc. I've
seen a travois attached to the back of an ATV used, they just drove it right
into the truck bed.

Wizard Rock, a One-Ton Boulder, Disappears From Arizona???s Prescott
National Forest The thief (or thieves) likely used heavy machinery to commit
the crime

I suspect that people are stealing boulders to sell to developers and
landscaping companies to incorporate into commercial and suburban landscape
designs.

Also, I would like to know what the editor(s) thought was used instead of
heavy machinery when they wrote:
"The thief (or thieves) likely used heavy machinery to commit the crime".
Telekineses? mule team????? :-) :-)

Yours,

Paul H.
