And, the most common geo-name in Colorado was "Bear Mountain" (27
instances) if I recall right!  Back when I bought the USGS GNIS (Geographic
Names Information System) database for Colorado (over 30K
entries) on NINE TRACK TAPE back in the 1980s, for $75 I think.

Nowadays you can search this huge database free, here:

  https://geonames.usgs.gov/

Start with "Domestic Names" on the left, and go from there.  The format and
interface is a bit quirky, and I don't know if you can grab the whole thing
(like I did) for your own analysis, but it's still handy.

Back then I used the data for, among other things, creating a (not)
best-selling little paperback book called, "Heading and Distance Charts for
the Colorado Fourteeners".  Which today, you can get in an app!
