[Rockhounds] Giant snowballs appear on Russian beach in Siberia

As a youngest I saw it happen in my backyard.  The snowballs were much small tennis ball to baseball size.

We lived about a mile from Lake Michigan near Muskegon, MI.

Doesn't something like that happen on the US Great Lakes? Seems like
