I wrote a while ago about my 2 broken UV lamps. The suggestions I got were
good, but I was not able to restore either one. Here is a possible solution:
One of these lamps is a Raytech L-8 Ultra. It is old, bought somewhere in
the 1970's. It is a 115V model. I have the original packing box, samples,
and booklets.
Raytech no longer offers or supports these.
The second one is a Spectroline mini-max UV-5NF . This is a battery/115V
model, neither of which works. This lamp is about 5 years old. Spectroline
does not service any of their UV lamp models.
I also have the original packing box, and instructions.
This leaves me with 2 broken lamps that I have been unable to find someone
to repair. . I have only a LW Chinese UV flashlight for my UV minerals. I
don't want to pay some $3-400 for a new one.
Here's the deal...for anyone who knows that they can fix both of these, I
will give either one of them as a payment. After repair, return either one
to me, and we both will have a working model UV light.
