[Rockhounds] What Bored These Tunnels Inside Thai Garnets?

A very interesting/provocative article! (Thanks, JBK!) I personally have a hard time believing that it's fungal filaments or other organic life form responsible for this.  I would still go for, some inorganic chemical dissolution of the garnet.  But... who knows?
