Fossils, eh?  I was expecting a bunch of self-portraits!

Nice pic's.   I've got a number of fossils in my collection with brilliant fluorescence.  Out in the US west, uranyl salts seem to just LOVE joining up with the fossils.
[Axel] Well observed, Gary! That is because fossils are usually in some form of quartz. Practically all forms of quartz, except the well crystallized, are very inviting to the uranyl ion. Uranium is very mobile in groundwaters so it easily permeates the silica-gels from which the quartzes like agate and such form.
