Our tethexflu is also about 2-3 mm and two smaller crystals on the specimen.

When my wife was able to collect, she was good at finding fossils. A crinoid
calyx here, a whole trilobite there... All in our collection.

Corydon Quarry has tetrahexahedral fluorite in 1 mm purple xls with the
occasional 2mm yellow xls. I found boulders of limestone last year in a rock
dump near Corydon (construction dump) with a large boulder shot full of vugs
with the tet-hex fluorite. Still have a flat of it. Donated a 12" wide vuggy
specimen to the Indiana State Museum.

My wife does that to... We once were in a quarry  looking for tiny cube of
fluorite.
Nobody found s..t. My wife Christel, picked a small rock up and asked "is
this what you're looking for?".
A lot of paper has been used to describe the two crystals on that rock.
Tetrahexahedral fluorite (yes, tetrakishexahedral is probably also good)
seems to be quite rare.
How they do it is a mystery... however, since I started reading Terry
Pratchet's Diskworld book series I have gained some insight in what may be
going on here...

I am the alleged expert in the family, but my wife (almost) always finds the
best field specimens; my wife has more fun in the field, but has
(absolutely) no interest in the science behind the specimen. One of these
things is not like the other.  One of these things just doesn't belong, Can
you tell which thing is not. I wish I had my wife's eyes. I'm just glad she
shares.
