Found in the book 'Glossary of Mineral Synonyms' by Jeffey de Fourestier: 
see attachment.

It is all question of the precise question.
If it is  with  the suffix eisen then it is goethite  (Przibamite)
With no suffix it is cyanotrichite.

There is a German word: sammeterz (sammet ore).
It's a trivial synonym for cyanotrichite.

I picked up a specimen at an estate sale from an old collector (92 when he
died) that was probably collected in the late 50's or early 60's that was
labeled

"Quartz with Sammette Blend Goethite X'ls Ohio Mine"


Google can't tell me what 'Sammette Blend' is. I am guessing it is a miner's
term for some type of crystal formation. Does anyone know?

P.S., I do know the Ohio Mine is Ohio Mines (Imperial Mine; Webster Mine),
Imperial Heights, Baraga Co., Michigan
