The name doesn't mean anything to me, John. Some attempts at Google, and Google Translate, and Mindat doesn't lead to any insight either.  No idea.  One might be concerned that it's something artificial of course, or, "just some blue copper mineral"?  Good luck,

Hello, AllI am in Yen The, Vietnam for two more days.  The shops are selling a newmineral they call coban or co ban.  It is small bright blue crystalscrusted on an indeterminate matrix.  Under a loupe the crystals areformless.  It is very pricey.  I cannot find anything out about it onGoogle except that it means "cobalt" in Vietnamese.  Help!
