OK, I've looked at the T-shirt now. Axel, the fluorescent owl is VERY COOL!

And now, the question (maybe you have an answer), what causes the yellow fluorescence color of that quartz? It's certainly atypical.

I looked again at the mugs too--I see there's a new one now, barite & calcite from Sterling Hill. Very good! There's a law in the U.S., you know, any display or product using or depicting fluorescent minerals, has to include at least ONE item or image, from the Franklin-Sterling Hill area. So now you are in compliance.

I notice that the price for the barite-calcite mug is higher than the first two. Ah, I see now, you said, "to drink soup out of". I guess that mug must be larger size! (I didn't pick up on that.)

And, OMG, dear Axel, a spelling error! The name of the town is OGDENSBURG, not Ogdenburg, you left out the "s". (Maybe everyone should order one that it, it will become a collector's classic, because of the spelling error.)

Cheers,
Pete

I'm glad Pete asked because I was wondering, too. I fell prey to your owl,
Axel! The website is very slick and easy to use with the PayPal option.
However, it deleted my state from the address, so I used the confirmation
email to go back and add it. Also, the website asked for an optional
contact phone number, but it truncated the phone number, then rejected it as
not valid! It's funny because I have never found the combination of such an
easy-to-use website with big bloopers. As if a smart programmer had to deal
with a dumb boss meddling with her work....hmmm...

Nope, it was on a T-shirt, Pete.

There's also a new mug to drink soup from, or other beverages. I got
creative and it's getting worse.

The quartz owl is a yellow fluorescing specimen, consisting of spheres of
acicular crystals. One of those rare specimens from La Sassa, Tuscanny,
Italy. It is quartz and is has the shape of an owl, which is why I called it
the quartz owl. You'll see!
Check out the above URL every few days to keep informed. These campaigns
last only 7 days, so I keep making new ones.

Cheers
Axel
