[Rockhounds] UV flashlights

I know they sell the LED's, I know someone who assembled there own... I  
just have doubts about manufactured ones due to safety... you can also get 
long  wave laser pointers... found a place that sells them along with red and 
green  every so often for $12 a set... when they have their specials...

It depends on which one you get.  A lot of the  cheaper lights are 
broadband and also have a lot of visible blue.  As  far as I know they're 
all UV-A (longwave) but I'd be happy to be corrected  on that if I'm wrong.
