Members may be interested in joining a shared computer effort run by UC-Berkeley, under the program heading of BOINC. This effort, similar to SETI (the one for outer space radio frequency monitoring), uses your PC’s computing power, combined with others across the world to gain a “super-computer” processing ability.

The name of the sharing process is QuakeCatcherNetwork, which is designed to allow users to add to the national network of monitoring earth movement waves in order to
gain knowledge of earthquake monitoring and prediction.

Each of these 3 management areas has a web site which can direct you in joining this effort.
