[Rockhounds] Address skimming?

I have seen it happen in the past, I'm sure you remember people who joined
just to collect our email addresses. I didn't get it either but I already
know about them. Fine group, don't know why they are resorting to this crap.
They really do care about amateur fossil collectors, one of our fossil club
members Mike Full has a great article in the current issue about their
McMinnville Oregon Pleistocene fossil dig. Most journals won't even return
an email or a phone call from an amateur.
